Nobody puts a clasp at the front by accident. Here a bar slots through a ring at the collarbone and the rest of the chain drops straight down from there, so the fastening is doing the decorating instead of hiding at the nape. Box links run up one side and a fine round chain down the other, meeting at a loop left deliberately uneven. Take the shorter one to sit at the collarbone, the longer to hang below it.
