Two of the seven pieces are not charms at all - they are cords that thread through the shoe holes and tie into a flat bow with long tails, so the shoe looks laced rather than decorated. The rest is a small cast: a long-bodied dog in a striped sweater, a daisy, a tomato, a green star and a scatter of round beads. Everything sits low against the shoe.
