A candlestick is the least interesting object anybody owns, and it stays out all year. This one has a crow standing on the stem, head turned and beak open, wings folded, feathers cut in one by one. The stem below is turned in stacked rings and the whole thing is a flat black that takes light without shining. It carries a pillar candle on the plate at the top, and looks just as deliberate with nothing on it.
