Hand-Painted Ceramic Sugar Spoon

There is something disproportionately nice about a spoon that has been painted by hand for a jar of sugar. Each one has a sculpted handle — a flower, a bow, a small animal face — and a bowl painted individually, so no two are quite the same even within a design. Short enough to stand in a sugar jar or a jam pot without sinking to the handle, and flat enough on a saucer that it will not roll into the coffee. Twenty designs, which makes this an easy thing to give and a difficult thing to stop at.
