Somebody lifted the cap to see what was underneath and found six forks standing inside it. The coloured balls on top of the toadstool are the fork handles — that is the whole trick. The base is a ribbed cottage with a little door moulded into it, which is why it stays out on your table between uses rather than going in a drawer.
